Exploration of the Internationalization of Sports Science Research in China—Based on the Bibliometric Analysis of SSCI and A&HCI

By using the method of bibliometrics,this paper makes literature quantitative study on Sciences as major topics published on SSCI and AHCI from 1975 to 2010,and analyzes the statistics and classification from various aspects(such as literature quantity,author and organization,document type,language,subject of the cited articles from source periodicals,source periodicals and so on).The result shows that the sports science citation in China has not gained great international influence since just few citations which are mainly from the universities in Hong Kong are published on SSCI and AHCI.The type of the citation documents are mainly based on Article,Meeting Abstract.English is the main language of the citation documents.The majority of the partners who write papers,published on SSCI and AHCI,with Chinese writers are Americans.On this basis,the author would like to make a few suggestions on how to publish more papers on SSCI and AHCI for Chinese who research sports science and how to promote the international standards of our Sports Science Research.The main purpose is to provide the data,information and reference for sports science research.
