Impacts of SSCI on the Academic Research of Chinese Scholars:Taking Education Discipline as an Example

Abstract

Under the dual demands of the internationalization of education and scientific research and the standardization of the performance management of scientific research,China has gradually formed the SSCI- based academic assessment mechanism in humanities and social sciences. Taking education discipline as an example,and using the bibliometric method,this paper reviews the situations of educational research findings published on SSCI journals by Chinese scholars,and analyzed the guiding effect of SSCI journals on the educational research of Chinese scholars by contrasting those published on CSSCI journals in the same period. Finally,it offers comments on the advantages and disadvantages of SSCI's academic assessment function.
