Humanism is an important content in ancient Greek culture.The Renaissance Movement inherited and developed the classical humanism.The renaissance broke up the shackles of mediaeval religious theology and man began to recognize his own values and dignity,thus becoming an independent being.Humanism in the Renaissance emphasized freedom,equality and human rights,pursuing individualism,liberalism and pluralistic democracy.Renaissance humanists were the backbones of Protestant reformation and the pioneers of the Enlightenment.Renaissance humanism initiated the unprecedented social changes in Europe and urged European societies from the traditional to the modern,greeting the dawn of modern society.
