Abstract

This paper studied the absorption characteristics of lead in maize and its yield with the variety Fuyou 1 grown in pots under the combined stress of lead and cadmium. The results of experiment showed that under condition of combined pollution, the laws of accumulation of lead in maize were in the order of root down-leaf stem up-leaf grain and root lead contents were lower than that under condition of single lead pollution. However, lead contents increased under the condition of same lead stress with cadmium contents increasing from 0 mg/kg to 40 mg/kg in soil. From the growing stage, the laws of accumulation of lead in maize were in the order of ripening stagejointing stageflowering stage.
