X-ray and CT Diagnosis of Congenital Megaureter

Objective To reseach the value of X-ray and Computed Tomography(CT)in Congenital Megaureter.Methods The radilogical urography and CT findings of 17 Congenital Megaureter cases confirmed by operation were summarized and analysed.In 17 patients,all of them had the radilogical urography examination,11 cases had CT scan.Results In this disease,less than 2 cm ureter segment of near bladder was normal in calibre and was a functionality obstructed segment,the ureter segment above it was gradually dilatation,thr part could spread to renal pelvis and renal calices.Observing on the real time,the frequency of peristalis of dilatate ureter reduced slow,transfer was interrupted.CT confirmed the functionality obstructed segment was normal in tube wall and calibre.Conclusion The radilogical urography is the best way to Diagnose the Congenital Megaureter,the CT scan is a method for the necessary assistance.
