Abstract

The content and distribution of cadmium in 268 samples representing edible parts of 20 vegetables taken from counties of Zhengzhou was studied with GAAS.The results showed that the Cd content of the leaf-vegetables and cabbages exceed the standard in the inspected 20 vegetables, the exceeding standard ratio is 7.8% and 3.0% respectively.Others have not been found exceeding the standard,The exceeding standard vegetables are mainly from Shangjie and Gongyi districts where the industrialize levels are rather high, and the locations of exceeding standard samples are more concentrated. The vegetables tested of zhengzhou was partially polluted by Cd,which are distributed in the region of industrial contamination.
