Abstract
Objective:To explore the correlation of Tei index with left ventricular mass(LVM) in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods:The left ventricular Tei index in 34 patients With CAD and 34 healthy volunteers were measured using Pulsed Doppler Echocardiography(PDE) separately and compared.LVM and left ventricular mass index(LVMI) in 34 patients with CAD were measured using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE) and the correlation of Tei index with LVM and LVMI in patients with CAD was analyed. Results:Tei index in patients with CAD were significantly higher than the normal control subjects(P0.001).Linear correlative analysis showed that the increase of Tei index was positively correlated with the increase of LVM and LVMI in patients with CAD(r=0.784,r=0.808).Conclusion:Tei index is closely related to LVM in patients with CAD and can reflect the left ventricular function in patients with CAD synthetically.
