English Names of Institutions of Higher Learning in Mainland China:Problems and Solutions

Abstract

Due to the lack of supervision carried out by certain organization,there appear lots of nonstandard English names of institutions of higher learning in mainland China.This paper probes into various problems in this field and puts forward some corresponding solutions.Standardized English names for institutions of higher learning in mainland China are required to ensure their successful exchanges with the outside world.
