Abstract

Analyzing 456 confirmed measles cases and 83 two serum samples of them, the measles IgM positive rate in the period of fourth to twentieth day of disease onset was 92.86% and 95.06%, but that was much more lower at 1st-3rd day and 22th-42th day of the disease onset. Analyzing 270 measles cases with positive measles IgM, the clinical manifestations appeared significantly different between different age groups and different history of immunity. Detection of measles IgM antibody is proved to be a good method for measles early diagnosis with specificity, sensitivity and speediness.
