Abstract

The recent application and development of hydroxyapatite/chitosan composites are reviewed in this paper and the preparation,characteristics,properties of composites are also discussed.Hydroxyapatite artificial bone,one of the most helpful biomedical materials,has been studied and applied widely in biomedical materials and medical research.This paper summarizes material composite,characterization,application and the latest research development and trends of HA/CS,and the study and prospects of composite materials are presented.
