Abstract

Objective In order to learn the efficacy of combination of drugs against Eimeria acervulina and their resistence. Methods 175 Chickens were randomly divided into 7 groups, included 5 medicated groups, infected unmediated and noninfected unmediated controls.Chickens were given medicated feed of Sulfachloropyrazinum(300 mg/kg) plus Amprolium(125 mg/kg)、Sulthchloropyrazinum(300 mg/kg) plus Nicarbazin(125 mg/kg),Sulfhchloropyrazinum(300 mg/kg) plus Levamisole(10 mg/kg),Diclazuril(3 mg/kg) and Diclazuril(2 mg/kg) plus Amprolium(125 mg/kg) respectively. Each bird were challenged with 8×10~4 sporulated oocysts except the noninfccted groups at the age of 13 day old and prophylactic medication commenced 2 days prior to infection.Anticoccidial efficacy was evaluated by anticoccidial index(ACI).Drug resistance was assessed by percent of optimum anticoccidial activity(POAA),reduction of lesion scores(RLS) and relative oocysts production(ROP).Results ACI of Diclazuril and Amprolium was 181.24,whereas ACI of other drug groups showed between 165 and 170.The strain of Eimeria were revealed light resistant(——+)to Sulfachloropyrazinum and Nicarbazin、Sulfachloropyrazinum and Levamisole and Diclazuril, and middle resistant(-++) to Sulfachloropyrazinum combinated with Amprolium. Conclusion The combination of Diclazuril and Amprolium has high efficacy against Eimeria acervulina.
