Abstract

Objective To investigate the expressions of cyclin E,cyclin D1 and PCNA and their clinicopatholgical significance in primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods The expressions of cyclin E,cyclin D1 and PCNA were studied by SP immunohistochemical technique in 60 hepatic cancer(tissucs)(HCTs) and 35 parahepatic cancer tissues(PHCTs),which had not been treated by chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy before surgery.Result The positive expressions of cyclin E,cyclin D1 and PCNA in HCTs were significantly higher than those in the adjacent tissues. The(expressions) of cyclin E,cyclin D1 and PCNA in low differentiation group were higher than those in middle and high differentiation group or the cases with metastasis. The expression of cyclin E was closely correlated with that of cyclin D1.Conclusion The expression of cyclin E,cyclin D1 and PCNA was closely correlated to the proliferation, differenation and metastasis, which can be regarded as an useful index deteming the malignancy degree and predicting the prognosis of primary hepatic cancer.
