Abstract
The organic chemical wastewater from a chemical plant in Lanzhou was investigated by Fenton reagent. The result showed that the optimum experimental conditions were as follows: H2O2 concentration 0.15 mol / L,FeSO4 concentration 4 mmol / L,pH = 3 and 90 min.Under the optimum reaction conditions, the removal rate of chroma was more than 98% and the effluent was colorless, and the removal rate of COD Cr reached more than 80%.Furthermore,the B / C of effluent was enhanced greatly to 0.49.The result of the pretreatment was very satisfied, and the method was in favor of next biochemical treatment.
