Abstract
The pretreatment of high concentration pyromellitic dianhydride production wastewater by Fenton reagent was studied. With the removal rate of COD of the wastewater as the index, different factors that influence the catalytic oxidation of organic matter by Fenton reagent were analyzed through single factor test and orthorgonal test. The results showed that:under the condition that the initial pH value was 3.0, the dosage of H2O2 and Fe2+ were 35 and 4.0 mmol / L respectively, the reaction time was 60 min, the removal rate of COD reached 76% and the mass ratio of BOD5 to COD increased from 0.140 to 0.417, the biodegradability of the wastewater was significantly improved, which was favorable for the following biochemical treatment.
