Abstract

Objective To study the effects of oxymatrine in the treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods 187 patients with CHB were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group including 87 patients and control group including 100 patients. The treatment group were treated with oxymatrine injection(600 mg/d,once a day) by intravenous drip for one month, then with oxymatrine capsules(2 pills a time, three times a day) instead. The control group were treated with common liver-protecting medicines. The therapeutic period of the two groups were three months. Results The HBV DNA and HBeAg serocoversion rate in the treatment group was 47.1% and 29.8%;while the control group were 8% and 2% respectively. The difference was significant(P0.01) between the two groups. The liver function and fibrosis in the treatment group were improved evidently. There was significant difference(P0.05)in comparison with pretreatment or the result of control group. Conclusion Oxymatrine has the action of anti-CHB virus and anti-fibrosis.
