Abstract

The paper describes the phonology,distribution of initial groups of t,d and z, merged situation of nasal finals and phonetic variation of iY or iI of Shenxiang dialect in the suburb of Suzhou.It also discovers the trace of phonological changes in the dialect of Suzhou proper.
