The Phonetic System and Phonological Characteristics of Gaohu Dialect in Hengdong County,Hunan

Abstract
Gaohu dialect is spoken in Hunan Hengdong area where two of the main dialects of the country,Gan dialect and Xiang dialect,meets.This article makes a description of Gaohu dialect's phonetic system and its phonological features.It can be concluded from its phonetic system and the migration records of the area that Gaohu dialect is a branch of Gan dialect heavily influenced by Xiang dialect.
