Abstract
A cloud point extraction procedure(CPE) was developed for the determination trace amounts of Cr(VI) in cosmetic samples by using flame atomic absorption spectrometry(FAAS).The effect of experimental conditions such as pH,concentration of APDC,concentration of Triton X-114,bath temperature, and time on cloud point extraction were discussed.Under optimized conditions, the detection limit of proposed method was 0.026 mg/L and the relative standard deviation was 1.52%.The results showed that the chromium content in majority of cosmetics was over national standard, and the quality supervision departments should pay more attention to this phenomenon.
