Abstract
A new cloud point extraction system using Triton X-114 as surfactant and based on the hydrophobic ion-association complex formed by methyl green(MG) and CdI42-was studied, and the influences of pH value, and concentrations of KI,MG and Triton X-114 on the cloud point extraction were investigated.A new method for determination of trace cadmium by flame atomic absorption spectrometry and cloud point extraction were established.Under the optimum conditions, the detection limit(3σ) was 0.90 ng/mL,and the relative standard deviation was 4.2% at 50.00 ng/mL inorganic cadmium level for seven replicated determination. The method was successfully applied to determination of trace cadmium in two rice samples, and the recovery rates were between 91.0% and 107.0%.
