Abstract
CO2 gas shielded arc welding process was applied to Q345 steel plate(δ=4 mm) for continuously welding and pulsed welding method respectively in the paper. The microstructure, microhardness and HAZ dimensions of welded joint gained by the two methods was analyzed and compared. It showed that welded joint structure forms more evenly and obtaining less widmanstatten structure by pulsed arc welding method comparing with continuously welding.Under two welding procedure, both of microhardness peak value of welded joints were located within overheated zone, macrohardness of each welded joint part acquired by continuously welding method was slightly higher than that of pulsed arc welding method. It also indicated that pulsed arc welding caused less HAZ dimensions comparing with continuously welding method.
