Abstract
TA15 titanium alloy thick plate was welded by electron beam welding under 400 mm/min and 600 mm/min welding velocity. Two different welding shapes, microstructure and microhardness of the welding joints were analyzed. The results showed that higher welding velocity resulted in the finer grain size, narrow heat affected zone and similar steeper microhardness curve.
