Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the effect of Lantigen B on bronchial asthma children with recurrent respiratory infections, and further explore its safety in use. METHODS 46 bronchial asthma children complicated with recurrent respiratory infection were randomly divided into study group and control group, 23 cases in each. The study group were given with Lantigen B by sublingual drops, and control group with placebo by sublingual drops, infectionious symptoms of two groups with bronchial asthma and recurrent respiratory tract were compared and analyzed, at the same time the levels of serum IgA and sIgA in saliva (detected with single immunodiffusion method) between the two groups were compared, and possible adverse reactions were analyzed. RESULTS Compared with the control group, the days of fever and the times of respiratory infection in the study group significantly decreased, and the difference had statistical significance (P﹤0.05); The days of asthma and the time of antibiotic use significantly also decreased (P﹤ 0.05). After treatment, the level of serum IgA in the study group was higher than before treatment (P﹤0.05), and the level of salivary sIgA after treatment 1-3 months was significantly higher than before treatment (P ﹤ 0.05) , but there was no statistical difference between before treatment and in sixth months after treatment ( P ﹥ 0.05). Serum IgA and salivary sIgA before and after treatment in the control group showed no significant change (P﹥0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions showed no difference between the two groups (P﹥0.05). CONCLUSION The application of Lantigen B for the prevention of bronchial asthma complicated with recurrent respiratory infection is effective and has good security , ease of use, which is worth popularizing widely.
