A study on regional economic development pattern of Xinjiang

Growth pole theory,core-periphery theory,and point-axis expansion theory are all the theories about regional economy spatial structure and economy development.These theories reveal characteristics of regional economic activities in spatial organization,structural forms,evolution laws and development modes from different aspects.Moreover,they not only establish regional economy development and evolution theory but also put forward effective development models.Xinjiang has important strategic position in regional economy development in China.With national policy supporting,development strategy promoting,relationship with neighboring countries and regions improving,economy pattern of Xinjiang changed greatly and presented along-border,along-bridge and along-traffic line development trend.Due to significant regional disparities,regional economy development of Xinjiang had circle and rundle structure in space and formed different economy development regions in different levels,important economy development belts and industrial development zones.Using quantitative analyses,we evaluated economy development strength of cities and towns in Xinjiang and carried regional division.At last,some suggestions about regional economy development were put forward.
