Dynamic Research on Regional Innovation Capability in China——Based on Panel Data during 2001 to 2010

The regional innovation capability is successive and dynamic. The paper constructs the index system of regional innovation capability from three aspects: innovation input,output and potential. Using entropy value method to process data of 30 provinces during 2001 to 2010,the paper shows the dynamic trend of regional innovation capability. It concludes that: the innovation capabilities of 30 provinces present significant difference from the transverse view; longitudinally,the growth trends are not so good,specifically,though the innovation input growth trends are significant,the innovation output growth trends are fluctuated while the innovation potential grow slowly. Then the paper puts forward some proposals aiming to improve the regional innovation capability as a whole.
