Abstract
It uses the cross-section approach and time-series approach to analyze the convergence of regional patent development in China during 1985-2005. The results indicate that original innovation capacity measured by innovation patent has the characteristic of disparity. Central and western regions of China should implement independent innovation project to elevate innovation capacity.
