Abstract

To the Lighthouse,which was published in 1927,is a representative novel of Virginia Woolf.In this novel,Woolf developed her experimental techniques to new levels.She removed the omniscient narrator and focused on the characters' inner lives.In the novel,the narrator speaks in the third person and describes the characters subjectively,giving the readers insight into the continual activity of the characters' minds.Meanwhile,the narrative switches constantly.
