Abstract
Ion depletion technique was adopted to study root phosphorus(P) uptake kinetics of four aquatic plants(Alternanthera philoxeroides Griseb,Eichhornia crassioes Solms.,Cyperusiria L and Ipomoea aquati-ca).Results showed that there was significant difference in P uptake kinetic parameters(Imax、Km) among four aquatic plants.Alternanthera philoxeroides Griseb and Cyperusiria L were more suitable for the re-moval of high and low concentrations of P,respectively. As to the constructed wetland,Cyperusiria L was more effective for the removal of P.
