Abstract
Objective:To explore the chemical constituents of tuber of Isodon lophanthoides. Methods:Compounds were separated and purified by silica gel column chromatography and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidences. Results:Six constituents were isolated from ethyl acetate fraction of the extract and identified as β-sitosterol(1),3β-Oacetyloleanolic acid(2),3β-O-acetylursolic acid(3),oleic acid(4),hinokiol(5),and 2-hydroxyloleanolic acid(6). Conclusion:Compounds 1-6 are isolated from the underground part of I. lophanthoides for the first time, while 2-6 are firstly obtained from this plant as well.
