Effect of mifepristone combined with misoprostol on termination of pregnancy for 10 to 16 weeks

Abstract

Objective The research was focused on the effect of mifepristone combined with misoprostol on termination of pregnancy for 10 to 16 weeks.Methods 180 healthy pregnancy women for 10 to 16 weeks with abortion were randomly divided into two groups including Group A(100 cases) with mifepristone misoprostol and Group B(80 cases) with rivanol.Result The success rates of abortion in Group A and Group B were 92% and 77.5%,respectively(P0.05).There was a significant difference between the two groups in the time of induced abortion,uterine bleeding,placenta membrane residual(P0.05).Conclusion The application of mifepristone and misoprostol for termination of pregnancy for 10 to 16 weeks demonstrates advantages in simplicity,safety,affectivity,high success rate and short time.
