Abstract

One hundred and eight cases of diabetic cataract after ultrasonic emulsification operation were randomized into two groups: observation group in which 51 cases were given herbal medicines that function to enrich qi, nourish kidney and liver and activate blood and resolve stasis, once a dose, with 14 days in a course; and control group in which 51 cases were given 30 mg Prednisone per day for a week, and 25mg of Indomethacin for another week. Result: There was no difference in treatment outcomes; but the observation group had lower blood sugar than control group.
