The effection to the blood and tear SIL-2R lever in the post-operative cataract patient by the anti-inflammation soup

OBJECTIVE To study the effect of anti-inflammation soup(traditional Chinese medicine) on SIL-2R level in serum and tear in patients with cataract after surgery.METHODS 15 normal health old men and 47 cataract patient who underwent ultrasonic emulsification plus artificial lens implantation were divided into normal group,control group and traditional Chinese medicine group at random.The traditional Chinese medicine group added the anti-inflammation soup to cataract patients with all other treatments the same as in the control group.We Measured the change of the serum and tear SIL-2R level before and after cataract surgery.RESULTS The SIL-2R in serum after cataract surgery was obviously higher(P0.05) than that before surgery both inthe control group and in the traditional Chinese medicine group.In the anti-inflammation soup group,the tear SIL-2R level before surgery had no statistic difference compared with that after surgery(P0.05).The post-operative SIL-2R level in the control group was obviously higher than those in the traditional Chinese medicine group and normal group(P0.01).CONCLUSION The anti-inflammation soup can reduce post-operative inflammation effectively.Its mechanism may be regulate the local immune reaction in the eye.
