Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of leflunomide on the secretion of interleukin 8( IL-8) and intercellular adhesion molecule 1( ICAM-1) in the lipopolysaccharide-induced HaCaT cell. Methods Lipopolysaccharide was used to induce the proliferation of HaCaT cell, supernatants were harvested to detect the levels of IL-8 and ICAM-1 by ELISA. Results The levels of IL-8 and ICAM-1 increased after induction of 1 μg / ml lipopolysaccharide, and decreased after treatment with different concentrations of leflunomide( the concentrations ranged from 30 μg / ml to 270 μg / ml),which was concentration-dependent.Conclusion Leflunomide can inhibit the secretion of IL-8 and ICAM-1 in the lipopolysaccharide-induced HaCaT cell.
