Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of limbal stem cell autograft transplantation for treatment of pterygium under microscope. Methods We analyzed the clinical data of 165 cases of limbal stem cell autograft transplantation for treatment of pterygium. Results The follow-up time was from 18 months to 24 months.149 eyes healed and 16 eyes recurred. The recurrence rates were 9.17%(11/120) in primary pterygium and 11.11%(5/45) in recurrent pterygium. Conclusion Limbal stem cell autograft transplantation for treatment of pterygium is an effective treatment method.
