Analysis on Regulated Discharge Regime Monitoring of the Lower Yellow River Before the Flood Season of 2010

The paper analyzes the present status of the lower Yellow River regime after the regulated discharge regime conducted in 2010 by using remote sensing images of environmental satellite and analyzes the influence of regulated discharge regime to the river regime through the variation comparison of river regime in the last few years.The outcomes show that a) the main channel of the lower Yellow River has become deeper,loading capacity greatly increased and river regime also relatively stable after several years' regulated discharge regime of the river;b) the vulnerable spots of Jiabu,Nanguotou,Mazhuang and Madu where main current used to be contacted with has the trend of off the main current.It suggests to monitor the variation of river regime of those sections and;c) the engineering works at the sections of Maoan-Sanguanmiao and Heiguangkou-Dongbatou has a better trend of contacting with the main current,the river regime develops gradually to a positive direction,especially the majority engineering works at Liuyuankou – Outan section is gradually contacting with the main current where used to be off the flow and the present river regime is fairly smooth.
