Intellectual's Ethos and University teachers' Specialization

It is necessary to realize the teacher's specialization in universities which seem to identity the career of university teachers and confirm the value of them.But owe to the influence of the tool rationality and the professionalism,there are some undesirable tendencies for university teachers' development in the specialized process,such as utilitarian,the deficiency of teachers' education responsibility and narrowing-divided disciplines and so on.Return to the intellectuals ethos of university teachers will be conducive to resist the negative tendencies in the process of specialization of university teachers,for which university teachers should return to the intellectual role from those aspects of being loyal to academic integrity,adhering to criticism,being good to reflection,pursuing academic freedom,caring community and actively exchanges with other subjects.
