Abstract

Intellectuals cannot be defined only by knowledge,but characterized with social responsibility,independent personality and free critical spirit.Not all teachers in the university naturally have the certification of intellectuals.To emphasize the role of university teachers as intellectuals is not only an appeal for respective teachers,but also a premise for research teachers in modern society.This is particularly the necessary choice for educational spirit in modern China.
