Abstract
Objective:To understand present status and to perfect continued developing program of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD) control in Nanzheng. Methods: IDD monitor was carried out according to the IDD monitoring scheme of Shaanxi(try out) in 2009~2011.Results: The three-year coverage rate of iodine salt was 100%,and rate of using qualified iodine salt ranged 98.26%~98.61%.The goiter rate of children aged 8~10 years was 3.81%~4.76%.The median of urine iodine were 314.47~371.89 μg/L.Conclusion:The results showed that effect of IDD prevention and control is significant after university salt iodized. The indicators reached goal of eliminating IDD,but most of children's urine iodine level was more than adequate. The iodine content in edible salt should be reduced basing on iodine nutrition status. At same time, the urinary iodine concentrations in pregnant women and lactation women also should be monitored.
