Clinical studies on plasma adiponectin level,pulse pressure index in patients with primary hypertension

Objective To analyses the correlation between plasma adiponectin and systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),pulse pressure(PP),mean arterial pressure(MAP) and pulse pressure index(PPI) in essential hypertension(EH) patients.Methods Two groups were divided into EH group(56cases) and control group(54cases).All of them were measured blood pressure,height and weight,calculated BMI.Fasting plasma glucose,plasma lipods were measured.Fasting insulin,Circulating adiponectin level were batched measured,they were all analyzed using a radioimmunoassay.Results After logarithmic transformation,the value of adiponectin of each group were from heterogeneity of variance to homoscedasticity,the concentration of the blood plasma adiponectin in EH group was Significantly reduce than that of control group(P0.05).Pearson relation analysis showed that adiponectin levels were negatively correlated with the SBP(r=-0.332,P0.01),PP(r=-0.314,P0.05),MAP(r=-0.260,P0.05)and PPI(r=-0.332,P0.01)in hypertensive group.However,there were no correlation in control group.Conclusions The hypertensive patients followed hypoadiponectinemia.Abnormal increase of blood pressure might be one of the causes of hypoadiponectinemia.
