Abstract
Objective To observe effects of small dose of milrinone on cardiac function and the levels of plasma TNF-α and IL-6 in patients with refractory congestive heart failure. Methods Twenty-five patients with poor cardiac function grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ hospitalized patients were treated by small dose of Milrinone with 5 to 7 days;Cardiac function and the levels of plasma TNF-α and IL-6 were observed before and after the treatment. Results In all 25 patients,8 cases were significantly effective,12 cases were effectual and 5 cases were unfruitful with a total cure rate of 80%.Compared with ones before therapy, the index of LVEF,FS and E/A were significantly improved, and the postoperative LVDD,BNP,TNF-α and IL-6 were obviously reduced. Conclusion The systolic and diastolic functions of LV in patients with refractory congestive heart failure can be improved significantly. The plasma levels of TNF-α and IL 6 can be significantly reduced after milrinone therapy. This method is safe and effective and is worthy of wider application.
