Abstract
A high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC) method for the simultaneously determination of gallic acid and gallate in biosynthesis reaction system for propyl gallate and butyl gallate. Gallic acid and gallate in reaction system can be separated on Lichrospher C18(250 mm×4.6 mm) eluted with methanol and 0. 5% acetic acid buffer solution as mobile phase at a flow-rate of 1. 0 mL·min. Gallic acid and gallate were determined at 274 nm. The recoveries of gallic acid, propyl gallate and butyl gallate were 94.07%-96.11%, and the relative standard deviations were 0.701-1.180. This method can be applied to the determination of gallic acid and gallate simultaneously, and assay the tannase activity.
