Abstract
Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of orthokeratology. Methods 442 eyes of 221 myopic patients with a mean degree of -3.53D±1.56D (range -0 75~ -9.75D) were corrected with the Ortho K lens.Results Three months after the treatment, 93% of the eyes had visual acuity of 20/40 or better and 72%, 20/40 or better with no obvious corneal injuries.Conclusion Orthokeratology appears to be an effective and safe treatment for the reduction of low to moderate myopia.
