Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of orthokeratology of correction of myopia lower than -6.0D.Methods:A total of 202 eyes in 102 patients received the process of orthokeratology and followed up for six months were analysed retrospectively.Results:Six months after treatment,75.3% of the eyes achieved an uncorrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better,76.7% of the eyes had a refraction≤-0.5D.The mean of uncorrected visual acuity,residual refraction and curvature of the central cornea were different satistically before and after treatment( P 0.01).Conclusion:Orthokeratology is a safe,effective and stable procedure for correcting myopia lower than -6.0D.
