Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy of Xing-Gen-Qing-Long Decoction in treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods One hundred and eighteen patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into the treatment group and COPD control group. All COPD patients received conventional therapy while the patients in treatment group were given additional use of Xing-Gen-Qing-Long Decoction. Symptom score, lung function and blood-gas parameters were compared before and after treatment. Results After treatment, symptom scores, lung function and blood gas parameters in the treatment group were better than those in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Xing-Gen-Qing-Long Decoction may be useful to ameliorate symptoms, improve pulmonary function and blood gas parameters in COPD patients.
