Abstract

Objective:To search for a sedative and analgesic method that is more comfortable for gastroscopic examination. Methods:Patients were randomly divided into fentanyl-propofol(GroupI) and midazolam-propofol(GroupⅡ).The reaction of patients, the effect of sedatio, the variation of BP,SaO2 and HR were observed.Questionnaires were proceeded after gastroscopy. Results:The time of patients coming into unconsciousness in group I was much shorter than group Ⅱ(P0.01).The time of patients regaining consciousness in group I was much shorter than groupⅡ(P0.01).The probability of discomfort in group I was lower than group Ⅱ(P0.01).Conclusion:Combination of fentanyl with propofol is more comfortable for painless gastroscopy.
