Abstract

Objective:To study the curative and harmful effects of one week triple therapy regimen of ranitidine bismuth citrate in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori(Hp ) Methods:100 cases of patient with Hp positive were randomly divided to RBC therapy group(A group) and Omeprazole triple therapy regimen one(B group). Hp erdication was assessed 4 weeks by using 14 C urea breath test and fecal antigen detection after completion of above both one week therapy. Results:The intent to treat(ITT) and the per protocol(PP) eradication rates were statistically equivalent between the A group(84 0% ITT,87 5% PP) and B group(78% ITT,83% PP) Incidence of adverse events did not differ between the two goupss.Conclusin: Hp eradication rate and incidence of adverse events of one week triple therapy regimen of ranitidine bismuth citrate was similar to ones of Omeprazole.
