Abstract

The yellow pigment was extracted by microwave method from Hehuang safflower(Carthamus tinctorius L.).The effects of extracting time, extracting temperature, material to solvent ratio and extracting power on the yield of yellow pigment were studied by orthogonal design. The optimum microwave extraction craft of was extracting under the temperature of 60 ℃ and microwave power of 800 W for 40 min with the material to solvent ratio at 1∶30(g/mL).The yield of safflower yellow pigment reached 6.24% by this craft.
