Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical distribution and drug resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae causing nosocomial infections so as to provide basis for the clinical reasonable use of antibiotics.METHODS The specimens submitted from the outpatient department and the hospitalized patients were isolated and cultured from May 2010 to Aug 2011,the bacterial identification and the drug susceptibility testing were performed by adopting ATB expression automatic microorganism analyzing system.Double disk synergy test was adopted in the strains with extended ESBLs;the distribution and the use of antibiotics were analyzed.RESULTS There were 182 strains of K.pneumoniae isolated among which there were 53 ESBLs-producing strains with the detection rate of 29.12%;the strains were mainly isolated from the sputum, accounting for 48.90%;the isolates mainly distributed in ICU(30.77%),followed by the respiratory medicine department(26.37%);the drug resistance rate of ESBLs-producing strains was significantly higher than that of non-ESBLs-producing strains(P0.01).CONCLUSION The drug resistance rate of K.pneumoniae,ESBLs-producing K.pneumoniae in particularly,is high;it is necessary to reasonably use antibiotics in accordance with the result of the drug susceptibility testing so as to effectively control the drug resistant strains.
