Research and application on the data conversion from AutoCAD to ArcGIS

Abstract

This paper analyzed the data format of the CAD and ArcGIS,introduced several methods of data conversion,and pointed out the problems existing in data conversion.Then it elaborated on how to use the GP tools of ArcGIS to construct application model and realize automation transformation form CAD data to Geodatabase database.This method has been applied to the actual project and achieved the good effect.
