A Demonstration of Data Conversion from AutoCAD to ArcGIS

Sharing of spatial data is an inefficient and error-prone process.which is also easy to lose a large number valuable details and attributes.Therefore,researching data conversion from AutoCAD to ArcGIS to ensure maximum degree of retention spatial attribute and rational utilization methods of the advantage of AutoCAD data which are most important for sharing,exchange and analysis of spatial data.Based on analysis spatial data format properties of AutoCAD and ArcGIS,This paper briefly introduces spatial data integration states of AutoCAD Map 3D and ArcGIS,and common methods based AutoCAD Map 3D and ArcGIS was compared with experiment,which refers AutoCAD data to ArcGIS spatial data format conversion.
