Clinical effect of Xuebijing injection in treating cardiac insufficiency in 35 patients with chronic pulmonary and heart disease

[Objective] To explore the clinical effect of Xuebijing(Clearing blood) injection in treating cardiac insufficiency in patients with chronic pulmonary and heart disease. [Methods] Sixty-five patients were randomly divided into treatment group (35 cases) and control group (30 cases). Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine and treatment group by Xuebijing. [Results] The effective rate was 91.42% in treatment group and 73.33 % in the control group, the difference between these two groups was notable (P0.05). The level of PaO2, PaCO2, hemorheology, cardiac output, cardiac index and ejection function were observed, the difference between these two groups was also remarkable (P0.05 or P0.01). [Conclusions] Xuebijing injeotion has satisfactory therapeutic effect in treating cardiac insufficiency in patients with chronic pulmonary and heart disease.
